Job Overview

The Flight Operations Safety Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest safety standards for all flight operations. Reporting to the Head of Safety, the analyst will conduct risk assessments, monitor compliance with national and international aviation regulations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive safety audits of flight operations, including pre‑flight checks, flight plans, and post‑flight reports.
• Analyze incident and accident data to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Develop and update safety policies, procedures, and manuals in line with ICAO and ZCAA regulations.
• Collaborate with pilots, dispatchers, and maintenance personnel to implement safety recommendations.
• Monitor compliance with safety performance indicators and generate regular safety performance reports.
• Facilitate safety training sessions and briefings for flight crew and ground staff.
• Participate in internal and external safety investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and timely resolution.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date safety management system (SMS) and support its continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and training.
• Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of ICAO standards, ZCAA regulations, and industry best practices.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Safety Management, or a closely related field is required. Professional certifications such as ICAO Safety Management System (SMS) Auditor or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in aviation safety, flight operations analysis, or a similar role within an airline, charter operator, or aviation authority. Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance is essential.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SSP 120,000 to SSP 180,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based incentives may be provided.
