Job Overview

The E-Commerce Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fulfillment process within our Ndola hub. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage high-volume inventory, optimize warehouse workflows, and lead a diverse team of associates. You will be tasked with ensuring that every order is processed, packed, and dispatched with maximum efficiency to meet our delivery promises. This is a high-impact role that sits at the intersection of technology and physical logistics, requiring a deep understanding of how digital orders translate into physical movement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Optimize inventory management systems to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of fulfillment associates and supervisors.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including order cycle time, error rates, and labor productivity.
  • Collaborate with the technology team to integrate new automated sorting systems.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.

Education
